Week 30

Hi!! There's not a lot that is new from me this week.  We're just rolling along week by week closer to my first birthday.  I'm fully crawling now (and fast!).  Just watch me go when I get something in mind I want.  Like to dog bowls...those are particularly fun for me these days.  Especially the one with water in it.  You'd think Mom and Dad would learn that I'm faster than they think but time and time again I get myself over there and have a little play in the water before they catch me.  I'm sitting up pretty well now too and I can sometime figure out how to go from crawling to sitting.  I've got tons of personality and I'm generally really happy.  Unless I'm hungry...then I'm mad and quick to let you know.  Other than that, it's mostly smiles from me.

Do you  love my fabric for this week?  It's super silky and shiny and fun!  Mommy couldn't wash it to get the wrinkles out because she was worried it would fray, so excuse the wrinkles this week.  My fabric came from Daddy's cousin Sarah and her husband Dan.  They picked it out because it reminded them of China and a fun trip they took together there just after college.  Sarah said she hoped it would inspire me to travel someday when I get big and I am sure I will!

Week 29

Happy Monday!!  Not a whole lot new around here this week.  I had my 6 month shots on Friday and as you can see from the picture, they didn't slow me down too much.  I was a little grumpy on Saturday but wouldn't you be if you got four pokes in your legs??

This weeks fabric came from one of my best friends Stella (and her Mommy, Jamie).  We went to her birthday party yesterday.  My sister seemed pretty excited about the whole thing.  She'd been talking about it all week.  I think it was mostly the cake that she was excited for.  I didn't get to try any yet, but it won't be long!  I have to keep reminding Mommy that the doctor said I should have EVERYTHING by the time I turn one (except honey).  That means cake and ice-cream too Mom!  Hint hint.  Maybe I'll try to talk Abby into giving me some.  That might be an easier sell.

Anyways, Happy Birthday, Baby Stella (who isn't really a baby anymore).

Week 28

Guys, I'm feeling so much better this week!  I'm over the RSV cold I had over break and I'm happy as can be.  Oh, and guess what else.  I've learned how to sleep!  Mommy's been afraid to jinx it but I've been sleeping through the night now for about two weeks now.  I might wake up once during the night but I just fuss a little and go back to sleep.  No more hour long cry fests for me.  I'm not sure what changed, if it's age, or my cold that made me so sleepy, or maybe a few visits to the chiropractor, but sleep is awesome!  Mom thinks so too.

This week's fabric came from Daddy's Aunt Corda.  She's the sweetest lady.  I've met her and snuggled with her a few times.  She has a few granddaughters of her own so she's a pro at baby snuggles.  She said she picked out this fabric because she loves doing puzzles, and she even has a puzzle that looks just like this one.  Seems like that one would be hard!  My sister loves puzzles too so she was super excited when she saw this weeks fabric.  I told her I would share it with her when Mommy's done making my quilt.

Week 27

Happy New Years!!  This week I went to the doctor for my 6 month appointment and I weigh 15 lbs 2 ozs.  The bad news was that we also found out that I have RSV.  Don't worry, it only lasts a few weeks and I already seem to be doing much better.  There was lots of coughing and snot around our house this past week, but both Mommy and Daddy were off work so it was nice to get the extra snuggles!

This weeks fabric came from Justin and Karen.  Justin is a long time friend of Mommy's and he is also Jamie's sister.  We spend lots and lots of time with Jamie and her daughter Stella, but we see Justin and Karen less often.  I've met them a few times.  It's hard to see here but the fabric is John Deere fabric.  That's because Karen works for them and is actually in charge of ordering all the John Deere themed stuff.  Stella has tons of toys that have John Deere on them including a really fun looking tractor that actually has a motor in it!  I hope she'll let me ride on it someday....
