Week 35

You know what today is?  My 8 month birthday.  Goodness, it's going quick.  I've been up to quite a bit since I last checked in.  Mom started letting me try real food like Abby eats.  I've had waffles (a Ritterbusch special) and eggs this week.  I also made my first finger (well, foot) painting at daycare AND started walking along things....very slowly!  I don't fall down much anymore, I know how to carefully sit back down once I'm standing and I sure do love standing up nice and tall.  I can see so much from up there!

This weeks fabric came from a very special friend of Mom's.  Her name is Marsha and she picked it out because it's pretty and pink and she just knew I'd love it.  Mom loves it too!  She says it will be perfect for my quilt....she's going to cut those castles and princesses out very carefully so you'll be able to see them in the quilt.

Week 34

Guess what I figured out this week...my tongue :)  Now that I've figured out that I have one, I pretty much love looking like a giraffe with my tongue sticking out.  I figured it out a few days ago and Mommy and Daddy think I'm pretty funny now.  I've got yet ANOTHER cold this week, Mommy and Abby too.  Who knew you could get so sick!?!?  I've got lots and lots of snot and eye boogers to go around, but it's not slowing me down too much.  I'm pulling up like crazy and love standing.  I feel like I can see so much from up there!

This weeks fabric came from Mommy.  It's much prettier in person with little gold stings throughout.  No special reason for it other than Mom thought it might look pretty in my quilt.  I wish you could see it better in the picture, but that's life I suppose.

Week 33

Happy Valentines day!!!  Isn't my fabric for this week cute?  It came from Daddy's aunt, Jan.  I think she picked it because she knows I love my two puppies. She had a dog just like Staley when her kids were little.  His name was Bo, so maybe that's why she picked this cute doggy Valentines fabric as well.

No big firsts for me this week...just business as usual around here.  I'm starting to pull up on things and am getting pretty good at standing.  Though, I don't like it when I can't figure out how to get back down again.  Mommy's been working on getting me to say Momma.  I'm nowhere close yet, but Abby's first word was Dada...so she's trying REALLY hard to get my first word to be Momma.  We'll see!!

Week 32

We're getting ready to celebrate Valentine's day at our house this week.  Well, this month actually, Look for lots of pink and purple and red themed fabric coming your way this month.  This week's fabric came from my Bubby.  Cute huh!?  I'm not sure what Valentines day means but my sister is really excited about it.  They've been doing lots of heart and love themed crafts at Kelly's house so I guess it has something to do with that?  And maybe candy...

I went for my first hike in the backpack this weekend.  It was warm (ish) out and Mommy and Daddy have been itching to spend some time outside so they loaded us up and off we went.  I liked it a lot.  It's fun being up that tall so I can see everything over Mommy's head.  I also started eating some real food this week too.  I tried whole bananas, oranges and quac.  I'm not really a huge fan of any of them, but it is fun to squish it all around in my hands.  I think I'll stick to the yogurt drops and puffs though, Mom.

Week 31

Hi guys!  This week Mommy went on a work trip to Florida so it's just me, Abby and Daddy at home for a few days.  I miss her but I think she misses us more.  I've been eating puffs and yogurt drops really well lately.  I can grab them really quick and sometimes I even love eating them more than the real food I'm supposed to be eating.  And Daddy put my crib down this week too.  I'm getting too big and while I'm not quite pulling up just yet...it won't be long at all!

This weeks fabric came from my Grandma.  It's Dr. Seuss and it she picked it because she likes to read his stories to us and to all the kids in kindergarten.  She's a teacher and has been helping my sister learn to write her name.  Abby's getting really good at writing her name and I hope she helps me learn how to write mine when I get bigger. I love Grandma!
